In our exhilarating, biennial event, our Technicians demonstrate their extensive skills in front of hundreds of colleagues, suppliers and partners from across the globe, competing to be recognised as the best of the best.
The Best of Belron
The Best of Belron Competition 2024 took place on 12th - 13th June in Lisbon and brought together the best technicians from our business to compete over two days for the title of the ‘Best of Belron’.
This was our twelfth Best of Belron event, with 30 competitors travelling from around the world to take part. To qualify for the global competition, each technician had already faced fierce opposition to win their national country title. For the first time ever, three female technicians took part, representing France, Finland, and South Africa.
The competition took alongside a world-class conference and incredible immersive experiences and exhibitions.

David Chester from Belron® Canada was crowned Best of Belron 2024.
Congratulations also go to George Pim from Autoglass® UK who took second place and Andrej Zavsek from Carglass® Slovenia who took third place.

This year’s Best of Belron conference considered the major trends and challenges impacting us and our business partners TODAY and those we are likely to face TOMORROW.
During the two days our guests heard from Paul Polman, business leader, campaigner and former CEO of Unilever, Magnus Lindkvist, Trendspotter Extraordinaire as well as Sheryl Connelly, previously Chief Futurist at Ford Motor Company.
Topics covered included the key global trends influencing our customers, partners and suppliers, the challenges faced on the journey towards autonomous driving, shifting market dynamics for legacy vehicle manufactures, changing attitudes to mobility, vehicle purchase and ownership, future trends and innovations in the insurance industry, the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the automotive world and how to bring the whole supply chain together to help tackle the climate crisis.
Experience the Best of Belron
Our guests had the opportunity to experience the cutting-edge technology and expertise that makes Belron the world leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement.
They could join a virtual training session and learn how Belron technicians will improve their skills through the use of gamification, VR, and AR; take part in a recalibration competition; participate in a live repair demonstration; and see how Belron technicians use advanced tools and techniques to repair chips and cracks in vehicle glass.
